  • Hybrid Solution

  • The perfect balance of convenience and reliability. TouchBistro works on a local network that doesn’t require the Internet to run, and leverages the cloud for reporting so you can view your restaurant's data from wherever you are.

  • iPad

  • Apple tablet that operates as the POS terminal. Staff can keep it stationary at the counter or take it mobile to work through a busy lineup.

  • AmpliFi HD Mesh Router

  • The router provides a secure, local wifi connection that enables the POS iPads and printers to communicate with each other wirelessly.

  • Kitchen Impact Printer

  • Ethernet printer for printing kitchen tickets/chits. Makes noise to alert kitchen staff of a new order and prints a double copy receipt from the iPad wirelessly.

  • Cash Drawer

  • Traditional printer-driven cash drawer that opens at cash-out or on demand wirelessly from the terminal.

  • Receipt Thermal Printer

  • Silent Ethernet printer for printing receipts/bills in the front of house. Prints from the iPad wirelessly.

Running multiple registers or a full service restaurant? Utilize a stationary iPad as a central server, connecting up to 5 iPads to take orders and process payments from anywhere in the restaurant—even at the table.

  • Main iPad Device

  • Your main iPad acts as the hub of your TouchBistro POS System when you connect up to a total of 5 iPads. While the main iPad can be used as a terminal, it is strongly advised that it is kept stationary in a stand in a secure place. No other apps should be used on your main device.

  • AmpliFi HD Mesh Router

  • OpenMesh router that connects multiple devices together to form one local network. Allows the terminals (iPads) and printers to communicate with each other wirelessly.

    FAQ

TouchBistro may work with other hardware, but our Support team will only be able to provide support if you use the TouchBistro-approved devices outlined. Avoid going rogue if you can.

Not necessarily. You only need a Mac Mini, iMac or Mac Pro if you’re planning to use TouchBistro with more than 5 connected iPads, or a TouchBistro Digital Menu Board.

All hardware is warrantied by the manufacturer. That’s another reason why we partner with Apple; AppleCare is one of the best plans in the business and you can replace your device at any Apple Store.

If it ain’t on this page, we won’t support it. We’re very particular about the hardware we support, as we only want to offer our customers the best and most reliable tech.

Not at this time, but we appreciate your dev chops.
