Employee Spotlight: Hanna Janho

Acting Team Lead, Account Management | 6.5 Years at TouchBistro

What do you do here at TouchBistro? How has your role/department evolved over the years?
Currently, I’m the Manager of the Growth Sales team leading our AM and payments team. I’ve worked several roles at TB starting as an SDR and working my way through the ranks doing almost every sales role in the organization, including SDR, BDR, ADR – Team Lead, Account Manager, and Account Executive – Payments.

What makes TouchBistro special to you?
The people, the culture, and the fact that there has always been an opportunity to grow my career within the company.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Or the weirdest food combo you love?
Not exactly a meal but rather a dessert. A delicious Palestinian treat called Kunafa. I could devour a piece of Kunafa every day.

As someone deeply involved in solving challenges for our customers, what motivates you the most to overcome obstacles and deliver exceptional results?
The reaction. Seeing and hearing people’s stories and reactions to solving their challenges and pain is a huge motivator and provides a huge sense of pride and gratification everyday. Knowing the impact our product can have on smoothly lining our customers day-to-day operations makes overcoming the initial obstacles all the more satisfying.

In your opinion, what sets TouchBistro apart from other companies in the industry, and how do you see us continuing to lead in the future?
The culture and the people we hire. The majority of the people we hire on the sales team have some sort of restaurant experience and it shows. This sets us apart during the sales cycle as we truly understand and can relate to the experiences and challenges our customers are facing, allowing us to empathise in a way that only someone who has struggled and gone through that challenge can. As a result, this allows us to position our knowledge and solution in such a way to win a deal that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to.

What aspect of your role at TouchBistro brings you the most satisfaction and fulfillment, and why?
Cross-functional collaboration with other departments to finalize and secure a deal. It truly takes a village to ensure a successful sale from A to Z and working closely with our VAS onboarding, payments onboarding, support teams, etc. to ensure continued customer success is satisfying to see in action. When multiple departments come together to address specific customer needs and then to see or hear the customer reaction to the results of that work are truly fulfilling moments.

How do the core values of TouchBistro contribute to the success of your projects/work? Collaboration – without which nothing would be possible. From CARE to Support to VAS onboarding, my team works with multiple departments daily – all of whom contribute to our success. Without the close teamwork and collaboration of those departments nothing we do would be possible and our quota’s would simply be unattainable.

If you could have dinner with any famous chef or restaurateur, who would it be and why?
Gordon Ramsay seems like a nice guy to grab a pint with. I’d also have him call me an “idiot sandwich”.
