Chapter 1. Introduction

At times, TouchBistro may prompt you to allow access to certain software and hardware features of your iPad. Below are the features TouchBistro requires access to:

Location

TouchBistro requires location services access for:

1.  Some payment processor integrations require location services to be on and accessible.

2.  Delivery orders require location services to create route maps.

Contacts

If you have Show Contact List when Entering Names enabled in TouchBistro, you also need to allow TouchBistro to have access to your Contacts app. Contacts are used to help auto populate deliver order screens.

Photos

TouchBistro requires access to your iPad’s photo folders to allow you to add pictures to your menu items.

Microphone

TouchBistro needs access to your microphone/audio hardware for credit card swipers to function.

Camera

Camera access is required:

1.  If you use the RBC Caribbean payment integration.

2.  You use QR Codes for access (in place of or to supplement passcodes).

3.  You use the camera-based barcode scanning feature.

4.  You want to use your iPad camera to add menu item images.

Notifications

TouchBistro needs access to your iPad’s notification features if you use TouchBistro messaging service as well as Order reminders.

Chapter 2. How to Enable

If you answered no to a request by TouchBistro for access to one or more of these features and need to enable it, follow these steps:

1.  Tap Settings.

2.  In the Settings area, scroll to the bottom and tap TouchBistro POS.

3.  Enable TouchBistro’s access the desired feature.
