Troubleshooting Your Barclay Move/5000

ECR Connection Failed

If you are receiving an ECR connection error, ensure the following:

1. TouchBistro POS is running on your iPad and you’re on the floorplan screen.

2. Ensure you’ve correctly entered your Main device iPad or solo iPad’s Wi-Fi IP address.

3. Ensure the ECR port number is set for 8086.

You’ve Changed Your Wi-Fi Network

If you’ve renamed your Wi-Fi network name or you set your Move/5000 on another Wi-Fi and you now need your Move/5000 to connect to your TouchBistro network, do the following:

1. From you Ready screen, press the Setup button on your terminal.

2. Press the Setup button again on your terminal to see the next page of options.

3. Select Network Setup.

4. Enter the 4-digit Supervisor Code you set up in the previous section and press the green Enter button.

5. Select Network Manager.

6. Tap WiFi and Press the Setup button.

7. Select New Profile.

8. Select Automatic Scan.

9. Locate your TouchBistro network, select it, and enter the TouchBistro network’s password.

10. Return to the Wi-Fi Profiles screen and select IP Configuration.

11. Select your network.

12. Note your device’s IP address on a piece of paper.

13. Press the red Cancel button several times until you return to the Ready screen.

14. In TouchBistro POS, enter the new IP address and tap Save.

Entering Standalone Mode

Once you’ve put your Move/5000 in ECR mode, you cannot use it in standalone mode or access any of the options available to that mode. To enter standalone mode, do the following.

1. From you Ready screen, press the Setup button on your terminal.

2. Select Supervisor Menu.

3. Enter the 4-digit Supervisor Code you set up in the previous section and press the green Enter button.

4. Select Terminal Mode.

5. Select Standalone mode.

Changing Your Supervisor Code

If your Supervisor code ever becomes compromised, do the following:

1. From you Ready screen, press the Setup button on your terminal.

2. If you see the Transaction Menu, press the Setup button again on your terminal to see the next page of options.

3. Select Supervisor Menu.

4. Enter the 4-digit Supervisor Code you set up in the previous section and press the green Enter button.

5. Tap Supervisor Code.

6. Follow the prompts to enter a new code.

Restarting Your Move/5000 Terminal

If you need to restart your Move/5000 terminal, press the Correction button and the . button down at the same time and hold for a few seconds. This will reboot your machine.

WebSocket Error

If you are receiving a WebSocket error do the following:

  1. Restart Barclaycard Terminal (see above). 
  2. Restart your iPad main device.
  3. Ensure your iPad’s Wi-Fi Private Address on iPad is turned off. See the steps here in Before You Begin.
  4. De-select and select Barclaycard under Payments
  5. Delete and add the terminal again on the iPad.
