TouchBistro Loyalty – Using Your Customer Web App with TouchBistro

Introduction

This guide will show you how a diner can use your web app to collect points and claim rewards.

Checking In with the Web App

1. The diner should open the web app and tap the Collect Points button.

2. This will generate a QR code screen. The diner should be asked to present this.

3. The server should proceed to the Checkout screen and tap Loyalty.

4. The server is then prompted to scan the QR code generated by the diner’s web app. The server also has the option to tap Search by Phone and check in the diner via the phone number registered with their account.

5. Tap the X button to close the Loyalty dialog.

6. Use a Payment Option to close the order.

7. Close the order as normal.

Collecting a Reward with the Web App

1. The diner should open the web app and tap the reward he/she wishes to claim.

2. This will generate a QR code screen. The diner should be asked to present this.

3. The server should proceed to the Checkout screen and tap Loyalty.

4. The server is then prompted to scan the QR code generated by the diner’s web app. The server also has the option to tap Search by Phone and have process the diner’s desired reward via the phone number registered with his/her account.

5. Tap the X button to close the Loyalty dialog.

6. Use a Payment Option to close the order.

7. Close the order as normal.

Other Features of the Web App

Punch Card Progress

If you are offering a punch card reward (“buy 4 coffees get the 5th free”), diners will see it at the top of their web app. They will appear even if they diner has yet to buy any qualifying items. This is helpful to let the diner know what punch card promotions are available to them. It will show them how many more purchases are left until they can collect their reward.

The diner can click on the punch card and see additional details.

To redeem a reward, the server will need to ensure a qualifying item has been added to the order.

1. For example, a Coffee Americano qualifies for the free coffee punch card.

2. The server then should direct the diner to tap the matching reward under My Rewards.

3. The diner should then present the QR code to the server.

4. The server should then tap Loyalty.

5. The server should then scan in the presented QR code.

6. TouchBistro POS will then properly discount the item with the reward.

Ways to Earn Points

At the bottom of the Rewards screen is a Ways to Earn Points button.

If the dinner taps that, he/she will get a summary of your spend-based loyalty programs. The specific time restrictions set on your portal will not appear on the diner’s web app. So you may want to ensure time restrictions are part of the description.

View Reward History

Diners can tap View Reward History.

If tapped, they can see all activity that qualifies them for either a point reward or rewards they have claimed.
