Setting Up Your Barclay Move/5000

Before You Begin

If your iPad (or iPads) are updated to iPad OS 14, do the following:

1. Tap your Settings icon.

2. Tap Wi-Fi and then tap the Information icon next to your connected network.

3. If Private Network is enabled, disable it.

4. Rejoin the network if prompted.

Initial Steps

After powering up the Move/5000, you will need to do the following on your Move/5000 terminal:

1. Select your region (i.e., GB & NI).

2. Set up your terminal’s Wi-Fi connection to your TouchBistro network.

3. You will be prompted to create a 4-digit supervisor code. Ensure it’s not something obvious like 1234.

4. Enter your Merchant Number which was provided to you from Barclaycard.

See Chapter 12 of the Full user guide: Barclaycard Flex Terminal document provided to you by Barclaycard for instructions on how to complete the above steps.

After completing the four steps above, you’re ready to connect your Move/5000 device with your TouchBistro POS.

Reserve Your Device’s IP Address

By default your router will randomly assign any available IP address to your payment devices and will change these IP addresses from time to time. Hence, you need to set your router to always assign your payment device a static, never-changing IP address. To do this you will need to know your device’s MAC address.

Turn your Barclay Move/5000 over. The MAC address you’ll need is next to Wifi Adr. Ignore the first two 0W. Those are not part of the MAC address. Use the MAC address to reserve a static IP in either your Amplifi router or your Apple Airport router. The label does not show the MAC address with the : separator but it’s important to note all every two letter/number combinations get separated by a : when you reserve in your router.
