Setting Up and Using the EVO MOVE/2500 Payment Terminal

Enabling Your TouchBistro Wi-Fi Network

1. After powering up the EVO MOVE/2500 terminal, the terminal we load several setup screens. When you arrive at a black screen with white lettering (resembling the one above), press the 3 key on the keypad three times.

2. Enter the terminal’s password (supplied by EVO) and press the green Enter button on the keypad.

3. Use the down arrow function key to select MANTENIMIENTO and then press the green Enter button.

4. Enter the last four digits of the terminal’s serial number (from the back of the device) and press the green Enter button on the keypad.

5. Use the down arrow function key to select CONFIG PINPAD and then press the green Enter button.

6. Use the down arrow function key to select PUERTO and then press the green Enter button.

7. Use the down arrow function key to select PCL and then press the green Enter button.

8. Use the down arrow function key to select SALIR and then press the green Enter button.

9. You will be taken to the EVO ready screen. Press the Circle button. (Note: to use this button to return to the control panel screen

10. Enter the terminal’s password (supplied by EVO) and press the green Enter button on the keypad.

11. Use the down arrow function key to select Control panel and then press the green Enter button.

12. Use the down arrow function key to select Terminal settings and then press the green Enter button.

13. Use the down arrow function key to select Comm means and then press the green Enter button.

14. Use the down arrow function key to select Wifi and then press the green Enter button.

15. Use the down arrow function key to select Scan networks and then press the green Enter button.

16. Use the down arrow function key to select your TouchBistro network and then press the green Enter button.

17. Use the up and down arrow function keys to move up and down on the screen keyboard. Use the far left and far right “dash” function keys to move left and right. Press the green Enter button to select a letter or option on the keyboard. Select ABC at the bottom to switch the keyboard to letters. Select abc to switch to lower case letters. If you password has numbers, use the numbers on the terminal to enter the numbers. You do not have to switch back to a number keyboard on the screen. When you’ve entered your password, use the function keys to select the green circle option and press the green Enter button. This sets the network password.

18. Press the red Cancel button several times to return to the EVO ready screen.

Restarting the Terminal

If you need to restart the terminal, hold down the yellow Correction button and press the period button on the keypad.

Setting Up EVO Payments in TouchBistro

If you have multiple EVO terminals and multiple iPads, you can link each iPad to only one terminal. For example, if you have a terminal at the cash and one at the bar, decide which iPad will be used to connect with the EVO at the cash and which iPad will be used to connect to the EVO at the bar. iPads are linked in the setup by the EVO devices serial number. So have the serial number of the EVO device you want your iPad to connect to ready before you complete these steps.

1. Log in as Admin and tap Admin | Admin Settings.

2. Tap Payment Gateways and then tap Evo to ensure its selected (there should be a Checkmark ). Tap Setup.

3. Tap Manage Credentials.

4. Enter your credentials from you EVO welcome letter/email. The iPad Credentials (Terminal ID and Key) are a local setting for your iPad. If you have multiple iPad, see your welcome letter and enter unique Terminal ID and Keys for each iPad.

5. Tap < Back to save your changes.

6. Tap Manage Terminals.

7. Tap Add.

8. Enter a name for this terminal (for example, counter or bar). Tap Terminal Model and select Move/2500. For the Serial Number field, look on the back of your EVO MOVE/2500 terminal and enter the “SN” number on the label.

9. Enable Active for this iPad. If you have multiple Move/2500, your iPad can only be defaulted to one device. An iPad cannot address two or more Move/2500s.

10. Tap Initialize Key.

11. Tap < Back to save your changes.

12. Tap Add if you have another terminal or tap < Back to return to your initial EVO setup screen.

13. If you wish to turn off the printing of the customer copy of the receipt, enable Suppress Customer Receipt.

Taking a Payment with Your EVO MOVE/2500 Terminal

1. On your Order screen tap Checkout.

2. Tap EVO Credit/Debit Card.

3. Tap Charge in Full or enter a lesser amount. Do not enter more than the full amount.

4. Offer the iPad to the customer to select a tip amount. Tap Save.

Note: Evo will not allow a tip greater than 20%. Any attempt to enter a tip over 20% will result in an error.

5. TouchBistro will indicate it is finding and logging into your EVO MOVE/2500 terminal.

6. Have the customer insert the card and follow the on-screen prompts.

7. After the transaction has been accepted you can close the order on TouchBistro.

Doing a Refund

Refunds can be done from under your Closed Bills tab or from under Admin | Bill Guest Check History (typically to refund bills from a past day). In these examples, we’re going look at refunding from your Closed Bills tab.

Doing a Full Refund

1. From your floor plan, tap Orders.

2. On the Closed Bills tab, tap the bill you wish to refund and tap the More button. Tap Refund Sale.

3. Tap Partial Refund if you only want to refund some items or Full Refund to refund the whole bill. In this example, we’ll do a full refund.

4. Tap the Integrated Refund option.

5. TouchBistro will indicate it is finding and logging into your EVO MOVE/2500 terminal.

6. On the EVO MOVE/2500 terminal, insert, swipe, or tap the card used to make the original payment. Follow the on-screen prompts.

7. Close the bill.

8. You are returned to the Closed Bills tab. Your refunded negative sales invoice is moved to Closed Bills.

9. Your end of day will properly reflect the original bill and the matching refund. In the example pictured above, we’ll assume we’ve only performed a single transaction for the day. We can see our order for $15.99 matched with a $15.99 refund.

Doing a Void

If you need to void the transaction (remove it from the batch), follow these steps:

1. On the Closed Bills tab, tap the bill you wish to refund and tap the More button. Tap View/Edit Payments.

2. Tap the Information icon associated with the payment and tap Void Payment.

3. Follow the on-screen prompts. When the void is complete you will see the original payment information has been removed. Tap Done.

4. Voiding a payment does not, however, remove the original sale invoice. Tap the bill you just voided, tap More, and tap Refund Sale. Perform a full refund on this bill and use the non-integrated refund option to create the negative invoice to balance out the sale.

Note: Voids can only be done on transactions still open for the day and still in your batch.

Adjusting the Tip

If the customer has entered an incorrect tip and only notices after, you can correct the tip.

5. On the Closed Bills tab, tap the bill you wish to refund and tap the More button. Tap View/Edit Payments.

6. Tap the Information icon associated with the payment and tap Adjust Amount.

7. Enter the correct tip amount and tap Save.
